How it Works?

The iStock Chart system presents you with a random historical stock chart without revealing the company and time period. You are are then given to the opportunity to buy or sell the stock at any time. The identity of the company and time period of the stock chart is revealed once you play the security for one year. You are then moved on to another stock chart of an unknown company and time period.

iStock Chart tests your skills at analyzing stock charts without allowing individual bias and knowledge of the company to creep into the equation. Historical data is an integral part of playing the stock market and is often sidelined based on market hype. With the iStock Chart game, you can test your mettle at analyzing the historical data and making strategic decisions as to when to buy and sell.

You are rated on how much profit you have made over the days you invested. The system compares you to a strategy of "buy and hold" on the stocks played with the goal of beating it.
